List Names
BIM has several mail lists: A main list for all BIM
members, & several others to support events we organise
etc.
Majordomo is one of many thousands of standard Free
programs available on BSD,
Explanations of how
to get Majordomo to subscribe or unsubscribe you, or to
access archives etc, is here.
To reduce editing
maintenance time, this page has been shrunk to include the
info file served by majordomo for the
bim@berklix list. (The Intro file is not included as that
is for subscribed members only.)
BIM - Berkeley In Munich - http://www.berklix.org/bim/
BSD (Berkeley Software Distribution) Unix Computer User Group in Munich
Languages: English And German
Not Moderated.
Which Language / Welche Sprache ?
People write our lists in either English or German. Some new
arrivals can't read German. Most are German. Most are used to
reading BSD & Unix manuals in English. At Stammtisch we speak
both, Presentations have been in English so far. Both human
languages welcome, but language laced with Microsoft is offensive.
Remit / List Content - What to Post, What Not To Post:
Include:
BSD topics with a Munich geographic linkage, eg "When & where
the next Stammtisch" + "Schiller str have a stack of machines,
heres' spec & price & performance tested on BSD ..." BSD @
local trade shows, BSD equipment swaps, BSD jobs (both employee
& freelance).
Please Do Not Post:
