Notes
- Consultants are indexed in Geographical Order,
country first, to help firms find a physically local
presence.

within the company that supplies FreeBSD consultants, so
customers can know how local/near the supplier is, (as
this can affect tavel time & costs, emergency
response time to arrive at customer site, availability
for short notice face to face meetings etc).
The Region/ Area s Not for you to indicate the Region/
Area you serve. I'm not interested in listing that.
That's for you & the customer to agree. The Address
must be in complete reverse geographic order, (country
first) as a Martian would need, homing in on you for the
first time on the globe. Any local in-country customs you
have for giving addresses in partially inverted &
partially Not inverted order, are Not accepted.
- This is Not: the postal address on an
envelope.
- This is Not: the main, owning, parent, superior
office, larger department or postal reception address
somewhere else, that also deals with things other than
FreeBSD consultancy.
- `Region' is Not the possibly much larger
region that the BSD specialist offers consultancy to.
It is just where consultants office is. It is a
geographic State/County type specifier, of less size
than Country, & greater than City/Town.
- `City' does Not need extra comments like `prepared
to travel' or `out of area too' or `+ Interent remote
working' - all thgat is assumed if conditions &
money suit. City is is merely a statement of where
customer knows consultant is based.
- If consultant has further bases established, they
may be listed on same table record, in smaller
font.

Phone Number:
- Phone Number is in full international format,
starting with a +, with spaces not hyphens, so the HTML
column does not grow too wide.
- This number is the initial first enquiry office
number for new customers to phone to negotiate new
contracts for consultancy services.
- It is not the the regular support hot line number
offered to contracted customers etc.
- It is a single phone number (there is no room in
the table for more, look on the consultant's own page
for more numbers).
- It should not be an expensive or
radio-interference-problematic mobile phone
number.
- It will be a normal office number for full time
consultants, or may be a home number for part time
consultants.
- It should be equipped with an Answerphone or call
forwarding to a mobile phone, or company human
telephone operator etc, as appropriate.
- Fax, modem, isdn, & mobile numbers have been
removed, to make the table easier to view, & easier
to maintain, for those numbers, click on the
consultant's own web page.
- Tip: Often if for example extension 123 does not
answer, try extension 0.
- Hourly rates etc, are not included. Such details
vary, & are usually only a guide, so enquire
direct.
- Skill areas are determined by clicking on the
appropriate Consultant's individual Web page(s).
- CITY [+ Optional Postcode]. You might (or might
not) want to omit your Postcode=ZIP after the City.
(There's ever more identity theft via Internet,
Customers are likely to want to email or phone you for
initial contact, not write a paper letter. Sure the
codes are easily available elsewhere, but it just makes
things a triffle more work for criminals, so they
generate less sets of attack data per unit time
interval.

- If a mailto make sure it is a valid email
address with an MX record, something a linkchecker
will pass without error when scanning this

If an href to a web page on your site that could
be some anti spam device, eg Web entry enquiry

- Please do Not make it a URL direct to some
cgi-bin script you will change URL for
periodically. Cos I dont want to waste time
editing to that. Make it to some normal long
term address on your site that is stable, &
let the enquirer click again from your page to
wherever your CGI is.
- Please also embed your email address <--
in a comment --> mangled in some way to
defeat spammers, but so at least I can read it
& get back to all consultants later easily
if I need to, without going through a load of
web forms. form.

- Save the raw html to a file.
- Copy the first live record out of whichever
section you want (full or part time).
- Do not copy the title line, as format of that
is too simple (no hrefs).
- Edit out all the old data & put yours
in.
- Ensure you comply with field descriptions &
formats for phone number & address etc.
- Do Not just mouse cut & paste off of your
formatted web browser screen, else you will just
waste our time, when I send it back, telling you to
format it properly. (I'm happy to add you, but no
time to fix bad entries.)
- Periodically check your URLs in your entry are
correct. If they fail, I may delete your entry
without notice. (Indeed, when someone stops paying
for their domain registration, & the domain
itself fails, how could I notify you, except by
perhaps a lot of tedious search engine stuff you
haven't paid me to do (& freelancers know very
well: time is money :-)

Countries are indexed by simple normal country names,
eg America & Britain , not USA & UK , those two
sets of common acronyms, people might know, but some
contries names get initials changed & reshuffled in
other languages; how many know what RFA is, & RFD ?
or that Libya liked to be known as SPLAJ (socialist
people's libyan arabic jamahiya or something). Most
never knew what FRD & DDR were, but most knew if it
West or East Gemany, Most don't care if a Kindom, or a
Republic, or claim to be United (centuries back old
boring claim in case of UK) or Federal or a sometimes
spurious claim to be Democratic (DDR) or Arabic or
Christian, few known for certain without checking if
ROC is mainland China or Taiwan. So I only list simple
names, devoid of allusions to state's histories,
fictions, religions, & preferences for orange or
green tooth fairies ;-)
